Eric graduated from the University of Illinois in 2002 with a Bachelors and Masters in Accountancy and earned his Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) accreditation in that same year. Eric started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Business Advisory services practice where most of his time was spent auditing public and private companies in the real estate sector. In 2005, Eric joined the Crisis Management group within FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance practice where he provided turnaround advisory services for public and private companies. In late 2010, Eric joined Drew Millard to launch 33CP with their first acquisition in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood. Eric relies on his audit background to scrutinize the details of any real estate transaction and leverages his experience gained in the distressed advisory world to extract value from troubled and conventional real estate opportunities. He also leverages his relationships built during his time at PwC and FTI Consulting to expand the Company’s reach with regional and national banks to secure investment opportunities. Eric is largely responsible for creating the investment structures for 33CP projects, managing the Company’s financial operations and overseeing the construction efforts for 33CP projects.
A Professional Engineer (P.E.), Drew graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Drew spent the first eight years of his career working in the engineering consulting field while simultaneously building the infrastructure to launch a real estate investment operation. During his engineering tenure, Drew managed multiple multi-billion dollar engineering projects, which helped him develop superior skill sets in the areas of diligent project management and analytical assessments. Starting with his foundation in project management and analytical assessments and drawing on his passion for real estate, Drew teamed up with Eric in late 2010 to embark on 33CP’s first real estate investment. Drew is primarily responsible for sourcing acquisition opportunities and overseeing property management and construction operations for the 33CP portfolio. He has built strategic affiliations within the brokerage community that continue to prove invaluable in obtaining off-market investment opportunities for 33CP.
As Managing Director of Commercial Real Estate, Sean joined 33 in September, 2014 to build out & expand the commercial investment group. Sean started his career here in Chicago in 2007 working as a Commercial Real Estate Agent specializing in the disposition of mid-market, Chicago multi-family properties for a local boutique investment firm. In this role, he worked with apartment owners, converters, builders and real estate investors, assisting them in meeting their investment real estate goals. In 2002, Sean graduated from Boston College with a degree in Political Science. From there, he went on to study law at the University of Missouri - Kansas City where he obtained his J.D. in 2006 with a focus in Urban Land Use. Sean uses his legal education to help clients with complex transactions including redevelopment, zoning issues, complex financial transactions, note purchases, deeds in lieu sales and creative transfer instruments. Over the last eight years, Sean has worked to solidify key relationships with apartment owners, converters, developers and lenders. Having started his career in the depths of the recession, Sean learned valuation, acquisition and disposition strategies that had to be highly focused and accurate in order to bring challenging deals to a close. To date, Sean has sold over $300,000,000 in commercial property. Sean oversees 33’s Investment Brokerage Team and works hard to make sure that all members bring their clients best interest to the forefront of each deal.
